DISCOVER: Dottie Andersson releases all the negative energy that is weighing her down in her incredible debut single “Heavy Objects”

Emotions can really drag you down if you let them but that’s not something Dottie Andersson is doing, she’s freeing herself from all that negative energy with her incredible debut single, titled “Heavy Objects”. This is her first single away from the rock-pop band Ason, which she formed with her three younger sisters.

Dottie Andersson is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Vetlanda, Småland, Sweden. She is probably best known for being one of four members of the Swedish rock-pop band, Ason. Previously known as Pearl Andersson within the group, Ason received relatively good success going on to support the likes of Milow and Matt Simons. She feels like she’s finally found her sound, taking influence from various artists such as Veronica Maggio, Bon Iver, Caroline Polachek, and Phoebe Bridgers. She’s excited about what the future will bring and by dropping her debut single, “Heavy Objects”, she can now make 2023 her year by focusing on her upcoming debut EP.

Talking about her new music, Dottie Andersson said: “It’s finally the music I wanna make, music that comes directly from my Swedish veins and that is authentically me. This first EP is like breaking loose from a kind of chain that’s been holding me the past couple of years.”

Written by Dottie Andersson & Martin Baumgartner, “Heavy Objects” has already been gaining traction with over tens of thousands of streams on Spotify, already. The addictive track kickstarts with passionate vocals that have an indie-pop sound, fully allowing Dottie Andersson to shine. The track has a rhythmic sweet vibe going for it as the drums subtly enter as her stubborn lyrics and emotional vocals cause a reliability sensation to her listeners. The unforgettable chorus is one that will stick with you for the rest of the day.
