This week has been filled with new releases that we really cannot get enough of, and here is another one. This new track by Felix Jaehn and Breaking Beattz has already gained over 300,000 Spotify streams suggesting that “LIITA”, which features Brother Leo, is set to become a hit for all three artists. The song follows up Felix Jaehn’s collaboration with Alok & The Vamps on “All The Lies“, Breaking Beattz’s collaboration with JØRD on the song “O.M.G”, and Brother Leo’s single release “Shine”.

Felix Jaehn went viral all around the world with his debut single. The German DJ featured vocalist Jasmine Thompson on his version of “Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)” which became an international anthem, what a way to kickstart his career. Not only that but the year before he remixed Omi’s “Cheerleader”, boosting the song into the global hit we know today. Since then he has used his success to collaborate with a wide range of different artists from high-calibre DJs and singers such as Lost Frequencies, Steve Aoki, and Adam Lambert, to rising talents such as Alex Aiono and Hearts & Colors. Last year saw him drop his debut studio album, titled I, as well as a remixed version of the said album. He’s recently worked with Alok and The Vamps on “All The Lies” which we stated that it had: “the catchiest chorus we’ve heard in a long time”. Prior to that track, he had a moderate hit with “So Close” in collaboration with NOTD and featuring Captain Cuts and Georgia Ku. Just last month, we managed to interview him about “All The Lies” and touring.

Breaking Beattz are a Brizilian DJ duo consisting of Lauro Viotti and Rafael Zocrato. In 2017, they were included in the Top 50 of House Mag’s top DJs at number 36. They have been building their career up and up ever since they dropped their debut track in 2016. Their most streamed track is their collaboration with Sharam Jey and Chemical Surf, titled “Get Low”, with 1,700,000 Spotify streams, with their collaboration with Gabriel Boni, titled “Perfect Executioner”, just behind at just over 1,000,000 streams. They sure are a DJ duo to watch especially now that they’ve collaborated with Felix Jaehn; they’ll soon be taking leaps in their career.

As for the featured artist, Brother Leo, he is a staple in Sweden’s music industry, under his real name of Ola Svensson. You may know him for that song “All Over The World” that deserved to chart all over the world, but unfortunately didn’t; it’s also possible you may know his name from the track “I’m In Love” as it charted in Austria, Germany, Italy, and Turkey. He launched his career in 2005 where he was a contestant on the second season of the Swedish version of Idol, where he came eighth. From there he gained a record deal and has gone on to release a total of four studio albums and multiple singles with 11 of which charted inside the top five on Sweden’s singles chart, six of which peaked at number one. As of last year, he has started releasing songs under the new name of Brother Leo, where his debut track was “Strangers On An Island”, which he followed up with “Push Up”, and he also recently dropped his third single last month, titled “Shine”. With this new release with Felix Jaehn & Breaking Beattz, it’s nice to see he hasn’t said goodbye to Ola Svensson completely and that he’s still up for releasing dance music tracks.

This new song, “LIITA”, has been written by Felix Jaehn, Jesper Borgen, Lauro Viotti, Ola Svensson, Rafael Zocrato, and Svidden. The track starts off with some deep heavy beats, suggesting that we need to expect the track to be a plunging house track, building up anticipation for Brother Leo’s vocals, which finally cut right in, out of nowhere, after thirty seconds. Impressing us to no end, Brother Leo has one brilliant voice that is unforgettable in every way. Although the vocal is thick and prominent, the track’s main focus is the hypnotic deep house flowing through that switches from the forefront to the background. It’s trippy in every sense of the word, taking you on a sensual journey. If this isn’t a hit in Ibiza this summer, then DJs are missing out on an iconic track that belongs on sets around the world.
