Indie Electronic artist Ramsey from Los Angeles, California composes, produces, and performs all of her tracks. Pretty cool right?
While listening to her latest single “The Garden” on SoundCloud, you instantly hear her dark and unique voice that takes you into Ramsey’s world. It’s her uniquely dark and emotive vocal style that separates her from other artists.
Ramsey began releasing music on her SoundCloud account in January of 2016. In just over four months, she has been featured in over 60 well-known blogs such as Perez Hilton, Huffington Post and AXS.com!
Being a newer artist, Ramsey has been using SoundCloud to her advantage in order to release music as often as she can in the recent months. Since she is the one composing, producing, and performing all of her tracks, she has to get her influences from somewhere right? Some of her inspiration comes from artists such as Glass Animals, Portishead, and Phantogram.
“What can only be described as a scratch within the throat, Ramsey uses this as a weapon upon delivery to pull a listener in, as she manipulates sounds and emotions, embedded with her oddity of sexual tension,” according to Girl Underground Music.
