Here at CelebMix, we’re all for new music and discovering new artists. This time round, we are taking a look at SEAWAVES with their single, ‘Her’.
Who are SEAWAVES?
SEAWAVES are an electronic/indie rock duo consisting of vocalist Si Van Brussel and co-writer Daniel Benjamin. They formed in Manchester, UK and have crafted a sound full of precision, impact and emotion. The duo united this sound through analogous life experiences and a mutual appreciation of the emotional perceptions obtained within dreams. This is all evident in their recent single ‘Her’, which showcases dynamic dreamlike sensibilities, combined with ambient grooves and unshakeable melodies.
Since becoming SEAWAVES, the pair have managed to get their music placed on well-known brands such as Walt Disney Pictures, Mercedes-Benz, Sony and much more. Following their acclaim, the Manchester based duo are ready to unveil their sophomore album titled, ‘The Soundtrack’. The upcoming album from SEAWAVES is the follow up to their debut album, ‘The Motion Picture’, which was released January 2017. ‘The Soundtrack’ will also be the first instalment of a three-part trilogy album from the indie-rock duo.

Do SEAWAVES have any other hits?
Following the release of their debut album, SEAWAVES ventured further into the music world by signing with Luna Music Group and North Star Media. The duo also had another viral run with their take on U2’s ‘With Or Without You’ garnishing over half a million plays across Spotify and Soundcloud, becoming their most popular hit. After their streaming success, SEAWAVES caught the attention of New Wave artist Timecop1983 which lead to the duo collaborating on their singles, ‘Lovers‘ and ‘Girl‘.
Fast forward to 2018 and SEAWAVES are getting fans and critics excited for their upcoming album, ‘The Soundtrack’. With lead single ‘Adventures’ and more recent single ‘Her’, it’s fair to say we’re excited too!
Inspired by life and the limitless power of the imagination, SEAWAVES use music to transport you into their world. The Soundtrack is due for release spring 2018.
