Swiss rock duo Sinplus, Ivan and Gabriel Broggini, is ready to take over the world with their music.
Although relatively unknown in mainstream music, Sinplus have had a pretty impressive career so far. In 2012, they represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘Unbreakable’ in Azerbaijan, and in 2014, they won the MTV EMA award for Best Swiss Act and were nominated for Best Central European Act. So far, they’ve released three albums but we’re certain that they are working on a fourth one as we speak.
2018 was a good year for Sinplus with several European support shows and festivals such as Isle Of Wight Festival, as well as performing at the charity show War Child. In addition to this, they released their first UK single, which was their fifth international single, ‘Dreams’, which is produced by Thomas Stengaard, Michael Ilbert and Randy Merrill, who have worked with international superstars such as Taylor Swift, Adele, and Imagine Dragons.
Their most recent single ‘Just Breathe’ is their sixth single, which has Sinplus’ signature sound, an anthemic chorus, and relatable lyrics. ‘Just Breathe’ is a song about being yourself and to not worry about everything. The song’s message is something Ivan and Gabriel can relate to in the sense that they have experienced pressure by people in the music industry who have tried to tell them how to act, dress, talk, and write music.
We’re not exactly sure what 2019 has in store for Sinplus yet, but one thing is certain: It’s going to be great!
