A new season of NBC’s The Voice is finally underway and equipped with a fresh judge. Kelly Clarkson has joined Adam Levine, Alicia Keys and Blake Shelton in the red chairs. Also returning for season 14 of the Emmy award-winning series, is The Voice on Snapchat.
The online contest based on the singing competition, showcases home submissions from various aspiring artists across the country. Immediately capturing the judges’ attention was the voice of 18-year-old Je’Dah Palmer, who wowed the A-listers and viewers at home with her polished runs and bluesy tone.
“I like her, you can tell she has some good runs. They were accurate,” Shelton commented, while Keys admitted that it was the type of tone she tends to gravitate towards. The “No One” hitmaker eventually selected Palmer to compete on her team.
Palmer hails from Princeton, West Virginia. She is part of an all-girl funk band, traveling along the east coast.
