DISCOVER: The Voice UK 2017 Contestant, Tanya Lacey, Features On BODÉ’s “Missing”

Ever since she appeared on the sixth series of The Voice UK, Tanya Lacey has gained more fans and has recently dropped a brand new feature. This time around she appears on BODÉ’s awesome new single “Missing”. The track has already gained over 10,000 Spotify streams. The song follows up BODÉ’s previous single “Side” which featured Natalie Wood and, also, follows up Tanya Lacey’s feature on Charlotte Devaney’s single and remix package of “You Got It”.

BODÉ, real name Boris Deckers, is a DJ and producer from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He has been releasing under this name for only a year or so, building up his career under this new project. His biggest track to date is definitely his debut track “Talk” which has over 700,000 Spotify streams and counting. He’s definitely someone to watch as he builds up his career.

Rebuilding her career, Tanya Lacey is back releasing music ever since she appeared as a contestant on the sixth series of The Voice UK, where she came ninth, being eliminated in the first week of live shows. Prior to the show, she had a somewhat interesting music career which led to her releasing a debut album, titled Head Chef, which spawned two singles, a few more singles on top of that, and three features, two of which saw her chart inside the UK Top 40 – these being her feature on Loick Essien’s “How We Roll” which peaked at number two, and Matrix & Futurebound’s “Don’t Look Back” which charted at number 36. Now, five years later, she’s back releasing music – well, features – but we hope that solo music is on its way from this talented singer-songwriter, who also co-wrote will.i.am’s track “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)” which featured Mick Jagger and Jennifer Lopez; will.i.am later became her coach on The Voice UK, taking her to the live shows.

The new single, “Missing”, has been written by Boris Deckers and Jamie Harper. The song starts off vocally strong with Tanya Lacey reminding us of Becky Hill, somewhat. The track is clearly a builder from the outset, production wise, and it’s great to hear BODÉ’s style easily flowing throughout the track. The drop is harmonic and full of intricate beats making us hope that a remix package gets dropped as DJs are going to love this track being played on dancefloors around the world. Tanya Lacey is a total vocal powerhouse giving us an emotionally-fuelled vocal whilst easily conveying the story of missing her lover.
