Here at CelebMix, it’s a well known fact that we love boybands. From little-known boybands, instrument-playing boys in bands to legendary global boybands, we have a lot of love for them all.
However, just because we already love a long list of them, doesn’t mean that we don’t have room for one more. 2017 brings us a brand spanking new boyband who you definitely need on your radar!
Roman Road are a four-piece pop band from London. Made up of Cliff Lynch, Aaron Richard, David Anthony and Adam Parker, the band first formed in early 2016, rehearsing in Aaron’s front room. Fun fact for you – the band are named Roman Road as it’s the name of the street where they first rehearsed on!
Over the past year, the band have been honing their craft and gaining exposure through live performances. Last summer, Roman Road played their biggest gig yet by performing on the main stage at London Pride, Trafalgar Square, to a crowd of over 20,000 people!
The four-piece band have gained a strong following on social media too, partly down to their series of covers on YouTube. Not ones to stick to the norm, they’ve covered an array of different artists online. From N*SYNC to Sam Cooke, The Proclaimers to Little Mix, the guys certainly have an edge to them and an ability to make a classic track their own.
2017 looks set to catapult them to stardom, as just last month they were announced as a Vodafone Future Breaker, live on Capital FM. Check out their Future Breakers interview below.
Keen to kick off the year with a bang, Roman Road will also be releasing a brand new single called ‘Let Me Try’. The electro-pop track is catchy, fun and upbeat and we guarantee you’ll immediately be singing along! Each member offers something different vocally, which makes them stand out individually. However, when you combine all four voices, you get also something very unique. There’s even a tiny bit of rapping, which we’d love to see more of!
The guys recently had the opportunity to perform ‘Let Me Try’ for Vodafone Future Breakers – check it out!
One thing’s for certain, Roman Road aren’t your average, stereotypical boyband. We love their unique blend of voices, cool styling and the edginess which makes them stand out from the crowd. We’re excited to see more of the guys this year – they’re definitely going to be the new name on everyone’s lips!
‘Let Me Try’ will be released on February 17, and will be available for download on iTunes.
