Disney Descendants 2 Drop Behind The Scenes Video

Disney’s Descendants 2 has released a behind-the-scenes video. With snippet interviews with Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Cameron Boyce, and Booboo Stewart.

The sequel to Descendants will be directed by Kenny Ortega, who is known for the High School Musical franchise, amongst others. Descendants 2 previously released a 15-second trailer four months ago.

Disney’s Descendants 2 plans to premiere in the summer of 2017.

Watch the behind-the-scenes video of Descendants 2 here:

So what does this clip reveal? We know our main characters will definitely be Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay; all of which will be played by Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Cameron Boyce, and Booboo Stewart.

There is a ship, which is quite possibly something to do with Harry Hook, played by Thomas Doherty, the descendant of Captain Hook.

There is a sign that says “Ursula’s Fish & Chips” with a slogan sign saying: “You’ll take it how I make it”. Does this mean Ursula owns a fish and chip takeaway now? Where does her descendant, Uma, played by China Anne McClain, fit into all this?

Dove Cameron throws in a short pun, by saying: “Descendants 2…? I can tell you with absolute utter confidence; this one is going to blow the first one out of the water.”

Sofia Carson talks next, saying: “The sequel is about knowing where we come from makes us who we are. We’re part Auradon and part Isle.”

Booboo Stewart follows on by saying: “We really get to see the characters grow.”

Then Cameron Boyce says: “Going back to the Isle is gonna give sort of a new vibe. Even though we’re from this place, we’re not comfortable anymore.”

We’re back with Sofia Carson ending the interviews, saying: “Everything, from the sets to the music is so spectacular.”

The video shows the stars’ updated outfits, and Mal has straight hair for a change. We also hear some music at the end, quite upbeat and slightly catchy, could that be a snippet of the new songs in this sequel film?

This behind-the-scenes video throws up much more questions than we have answers to, and since summer 2017 is a long way off, expect many more teasers to come; much like this one.

What are you expecting from Descendants 2? Will it be better than the first? Tell us all your thoughts on Twitter @CelebMix.
