Ed Sheeran won his first two Grammy awards and Taylor went away with three! But what’s more exciting than Grammy’s? A nice boost in sales!
Sheeran received a +3 points on the iTunes worldwide chart currently placed at number 7, while Swift managed a +9 position to #8, right behind the former. Numbers can change rapidly but it’s obvious these two huge artists have impacted listeners worldwide.
1989 is now also Taylor Swift’s best selling album, surpassing her mega-hit album Fearless which has sold more than 8.6 million records worldwide. Not only has 1989 gone DIAMOND in Australia, but 5x Platinum in the U.S. and 3x Platinum in the U.K.!
Sheeran’s sophomore album is already his best selling album and has gone to sell over 10 million records worldwide. It’s amazing to see how far Ed Sheeran has come along in his career. He’s earned 8 Platinum hits in the U.K. alone and his next album will probably make even bigger strides than his first two albums!
Both candidates are at their greatest peak and we’re positive they can only go higher from here. We wish Swift and Sheeran more success and hope they continue to inspire people of all ages with their amazing songwriting abilities and musicianship.
