EDX & Amba Shepherd Teams Up For Tropical Track “Off The Grid”

Two club firehouse artists have teamed up for an awesome new track. EDX and Amba Shepherd have released “Off The Grid” and it is definitely one for the approaching summer. The song follows up EDX’s “Who Cares” and Amba Shepherd’s collaboration with JaySounds on “Another World”.

EDX is a Swiss-Italian DJ and producer, whose real name is Maurizio Colella. He has released a lot of music over the years from original tracks to covers to remixes. His most-streamed track on Spotify is his remix of Sam Feldt’s “Show Me Love”, which has over 100 million streams and counting. Recently, he has released official remixes for “Beautiful” by Bazzi featuring Camila Cabello, as well as David Guetta and Anne-Marie’s “Don’t Leave Me Alone”. He recently gained a “Best Remix Recording” Grammy-nomination for his remix of Charlie Puth’s “How Long”. He’s the most-streamed Swiss artist on Spotify and has expanded his fanbase year-on-year. We are looking forward to seeing where his career takes him.

As for Amba Shepherd, she’s a staple in dance music and has contributed her voice to many EDM releases over the years. She’s mostly known for featuring on Hardwell’s track titled “Apollo”. She’s worked with the likes of Porter Robinson, Nervo, Laidback Luke, Benny Benassi, Paul Oakenfold, and Afrojack. This is the first time that she has worked with EDX and it’s a perfect match. This will certainly one of our summer hits of the year.

According to Spotify, the song was written by Amba Shepherd, Christian Beat Hirt, and Maurizio Colella, whilst it was produced by the latter two songwriters. It’s a summer-soaked tropical track that we can’t get enough of, it’s definitely one for the party playlists.

Speaking about the track in a press release, EDX said: “I’m so excited to be finally sharing my new single with you guys! Working with Amba was a great experience as she’s got such an incredible voice and is an amazing songwriter. I actually produced a lot of club tracks and remixes in 2018, so I’m really happy to be able to release another original vocal single, and just in time for Miami Music Week. It’s been getting great reactions already on the dancefloor when I’ve been road-testing it all over the world and I’m super happy with the finished product. I hope you guys like it as much as I do!”

Adding to that, Amba Shepherd said: “Off The Grid is a song about getting away from it all, getting in touch with nature and your soul, and being free! Something that has been super important to me to
detox from the stress of touring and the crazy hectic schedules of studio and music. Getting back to life is everything. I loved writing this song with EDX and I’m super excited to be releasing it with such an amazing label and team who all believe in great music! He is such an iconic artist and we have been chatting for a while so it’s amazing to see our work come together with this record.”
