A couple of months ago, there were rumors flying around that Ellie Goulding and Niall Horan have plans to collaborate during One Direction’s hiatus that is set to happen next year. At the BBC Music Awards a couple of days ago, Ellie finally confirmed that those rumors are true.
According to the Daily Star, Ellie said: “He’s a good friend of mine and it goes without saying that writing a song with someone you are friends with and someone you get on with, you can’t really replace that with anything. I write the best songs with someone I feel truly comfortable with. So definitely, I think it will be a laugh.”
Ellie believes that writing solo songs will help make One Direction stronger. She also believes that One Direction will get back together at some point. She said: I think they’ll get back together at some point but they’re just having a break because they’ve been doing it for so long and it must be taxing. I know how hard it is to be on tour for so long and to be performing that much so I think it’s a welcome break for them.”
