For the fifth year in a row, Ellie Goulding will be hosting a concert in aid of Streets of London, a charity which “funds specialist support for people who are homeless in London, and raises awareness about homelessness.”
The gig will take place at Wembley SSE Arena on December 20 with Streets of London ambassador Ellie headlining the show. Also confirmed to perform during the evening are Dua Lipa, Bastille, Sigrid, Jax Jones, Mabel, Dermot Kennedy and Grace Carter.
This is Ellie’s fifth Streets of London benefit concert, after first hosting a show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in December 2014. Each year, the show has grown from strength to strength, with a multitude of artists joining the ‘Love Me Like You Do’ singer to raise money and awareness for the charity.
After shows in the Roundhouse (2015) and the Royal Albert Hall (2016/2017), the upcoming gig at the SSE Arena is set to be the biggest and most successful one to date.
Speaking about Ellie’s involvement with the charity, Streets of London said: “At a time when – according to recent figures – there are a record number of people sleeping rough in London, this extra funding to support Streets of London’s work is more welcome than ever.
“To date, Streets of London concerts featuring Ellie Goulding have raised more than £300,000 in aid of the charity. This year’s event will increase that total even further, so we’re very grateful to Ellie for her ongoing support.”
Tickets for the Streets of London gig go on sale this Friday (November 16) at 9am from Ellie’s website.
