It seems that singer and songwriter Emeli Sande is finally ready to make her comeback, and we are already super excited about it! Can you believe that it has been over three years since she released her previous single, “Clown,” back in February 2013?
The time has flown by but we have missed Emeli a lot. Now she is getting ready to take over the charts once again with her newest single called, “Hurts,” which will drop on 16th September as the lead single from her upcoming album.
She took to Twitter today to officially announce the latest offering and to tease it to her fans.

In a recent interview about her newest single, Emeli said, “I wanted to release Hurts first because it felt like everything I had avoided saying for so long. It’s a real explosion, and everything I wish I had said years ago. I don’t want to hold anything back anymore.”
She then spoke about how this new chapter has taught her some important lessons. “In retrospect, I was like a pressure cooker waiting to pop off. I had to stop and really look at myself to realise who I was. That’s been the biggest lesson for me in making my new album, learning to feel comfortable in who I am, what I represent, and what I stand for.”
We thought she couldn’t top her previous singles but it sounds like “Hurts” is about to do just that.
