British singer and song-writer Emily Middlemas has released her new single ‘Habit,’ with emerging producer Rob Late.
The announcement of new music was first revealed by Emily on her Twitter at the end of August, along with her unveiling the artwork for the track:
In the lead-up to the release of the track, Emily shared her excitement on social media of the upcoming release:
‘Habit’ – released via Gray London and Empire – showcases Emily’s breathtaking and captivating vocals and is quite a different sound to her previous releases, inevitably highlighting her musical diversity as a musician. The track is extremely upbeat and has a catchy beat throughout, especially in the chorus of the track, which is unique and very different.
The track is about falling in love with someone, only to find out that they weren’t ‘the one’, with real strength coming from heartbreak.
The track’s production is a real credit to Rob Late, who is now focusing on writing, producing and remixing music for upcoming artists within the UK and across the world.
‘Don’t want to make it a habit, the things I’ve done.’
Emily Middlemas was a contestant on the thirteenth series of ‘The X Factor’ back in 2016, whereby during her time on the show, she was mentored by Simon Cowell. She made it to the Semi-Finals of the show and since coming off the show, her popularity has continued to increase.
In September 2017, she released her phenomenal debut single ‘Lost & Found,’ also embarking on her debut headline tour around the UK and Ireland. She released single ‘Layla’ earlier this year, with proceeds going towards Neuroblastoma UK, a charity which works to fight cancer.
