Yesterday the second semi-final occurred for Hungary’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest “A Dal” – It has its finalists now, and we just have to wait until next Saturday when we’ll find out who will represent the country in this year’s contest in Kyiv.
A total of nine acts competed in each of the semi-finals, and just eight of them made it to the Grand Final. Six were selected by a mix of jury voting and app voting, meanwhile, the seventh and eighth qualifier were selected by the “fifth jury”, the audience.
From the first semi-final, we learned that four acts already got into the final, which were Gina Kanizsa with “Fall Like Rain”, Joci Pápai with “Origo”, Gigi Radics with “See It Through” and Soulwave with “Kalandor”.
Now we know the rest – Gabi Tóth & Freddie Shuman feat. Begi Lotfi earned the highest score yesterday with their song “Hosszú id?k”, then Zävodi + Olivér Berkes with “#háttérzaj” and Leander Kills with “Élet” secured a place. In the end, televoters decided that Kállay Saunders Band should be in the final with “17”.
