Everyone has been pronouncing Voldemort’s name wrong according to J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling announced yesterday on Twitter that everyone has been saying Voldemort’s name wrong as the‘t’ is silent.

Rowling released this tweet explaining the dark lord’s name: ‘one piece of Harry Potter trivia I always forget to mention: the “t” is silent in Voldemort.’

However, Rowling did admit that she is the only person who knew this.

So all this time we have all been pronouncing ‘he who must not be named’ real name incorrectly.

Rowling has been quite active on twitter as of late as she stood up for Serena Williams as lots of people were saying she has the body of a man.

Rowling replied with: ‘I love her! What an athlete. What a role model. What a woman.’
