Country music legend Shania Twain will finally release her long awaited new album in late Spring 2017, fifteen long years after her fourth studio LP ‘Up!’.
The 51-year-old will be releasing her fifth release next year and here is everything we know about the upcoming record, so far.
Shania Twain is no longer working with her previous producer Robert “Mutt” Lange after the couple divorced, the pair worked together on three of Twain’s hit albums; ‘The Woman in Me’, ‘Come On Over’, and the aforementioned ‘Up!’, all the LP’s were Diamond certified.
The highly anticipated release has instead been produced by multiple record producers; Matthew Koma, Ron Aniello, Jake Gosling, Jacquire KIng, who Shania told Entertainment Weekly are “all very different from each other”,
The sound of the new album will also be different from her previous records thanks to the different producers and the long time in between releases.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Shania Twain said the finished album includes: “painful and melancholy ballads that evolved into completely upbeat songs” to “triumphant” girl-power rockers.
She also added: “By the end [of the recording process], I felt like I had climbed a huge mountain and was standing on top of it, looking God in the eye, and saying, ‘I’m here! What do I gotta do next?’”
Fans of the superstar may not have to wait as long for her to release her sixth studio album as the legendary hitmaker told Entertainment Weekly: “I feel like I just need to keep making albums now.”
