CB30 are an American Country duo consisting of brothers Christian and Brody Clementi and their band name is derived from their first initial of each of their first names and the fact that they were both born on the 30th of the month.
They were discovered by Country superstar Luke Bryan, who then went on to make a special cameo in their first music video, for hit track ‘Marina’.
This summer the released their brand new single ‘Like It’s A Bad Thing’ and have recently signed a major deal with UMG Nashville and Disney’s Buena Vista Records.
And to celebrate the festive season, Brody shared a stunning rendition of Justin Bieber’s ‘Mistletoe’ via Instagram.
To celebrate, here we chat exclusively to CB30 about all things Christmas:
Hey Brody, first of all what made you want to cover Justin Bieber’s ‘Mistletoe’ this year?
I really love the song and Justin Bieber has been a big influence. I felt like it was fresh and I was in the Christmas spirit haha!
So, do you guys have a favourite Christmas song that you play every year?
We love listening to The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting) because we got the chance to record it and put our own spin on it.
What is your favourite thing about the festive season?
Our favorite thing about the festive season is getting to just be with family/friends and tell stories. It’s really special because we don’t get to all be together that often.
What does a traditional Christmas entail for you and your family?
We usually make a big family trip to Colorado to visit grandparents, but the past two years we have stayed here with our friends and had a cool little Nashville Christmas. It’s not as snowy as Colorado but it will do!
Do you have any plans to release an original Christmas song in the future?
Yes for sure! We had an original Christmas song we wanted to put out this year but time didn’t allow it. But, yes we really want to release another one sometime
What are your 2019 plans looking like at the moment?
Writing lots of new CB30 music, and playing shows!
