Caroline Grace has just released two brand new singles for a double release titled SUS.PACK. The tracks, titled “Alone” and “All Figured Out,” both revolve around a specific time in Grace’s life that she remembers and associates with specific feelings. After starting her music career less than two years ago, Caroline Grace has already made an imprint on the industry and those who have heard her music. With hundreds of thousands of streams and countless followers across social media platforms, it is clear that this singer is someone you’ll want to have on your radar before she takes over the world with her music. In an exclusive interview with CelebMix, Grace opened up about her new singles, influences and more.

What can you tell us about your double song release titled SUS.PACK?

SUS.PACK is a project I collaborated on with my friend Reef Boii. We began working together back in February and “Alone” was the first song we made. The sassiness of it ignited a fire in me that turned into a multitude of songs that are cheeky and bold. Both of these songs were made during a time in my life when I was constantly getting burned by people because I let down my guard too quickly. I wrote them to remind myself that not everyone has my best interest and that no-one will have my back like I will…except my mom.

How do these tracks compare to what you have released in the past?

This collaboration allowed me to experiment with different tones, sounds and ways of expressing emotion. I found myself expressing my feelings with no reservations. I can assure you’ll hear the difference once you take a listen.

Why did you choose to release “Alone” and “All Figured Out” for this project?

They were both surrounding a very specific period in my life, so it felt natural to release them together. Their tones and lyrics compliment each other very well.

Who has influenced your music either as you were growing up and/or currently?

I grew up being obsessed with the 1950s. I was that weird kid who was listening to Etta James, Sam Cooke, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Dean Martin and Nat King Cole to name a few. A lot of of my original vocal influence came from them, particularly studying Etta James and Sam Cooke. However, as I got older, I delved deep into the worlds of R&B and Pop: pulling inspiration from people like Lauryn Hill, Whitney Houston, Madonna and Mariah Carey. I also really keep up with new releases and what’s currently trending in pop culture!

How has your experience in the music industry been since you collaborated with Poo Bear a few years ago?

I worked with him on two singles back in 2017 and that was incredible! After self-releasing the song we did together and creating my production company/ independent label, I have had amazing experiences on both the creative and logistic side of this industry.

What can fans look forward to after SUS.PACK? Any music videos, performances or new announcements?

SUS.PACK is just the first release of many songs Reef and I have been working on together. The top of 2020 is going to look like a lot of music and video content…followed by some exciting performance announcements!
