Following the release of her debut single “If You Only Knew”, we had the chance to have a lovely chat with the Disney rising pop star, Jade Alleyne!
Hi, Jade and welcome to CelebMix! Thank you so much for lending us a little bit of your time to have a chat about your first debut single!
You started out in the performing industry as a dancer and then an actress, how does it feel that you have finally released your first single?
“It feels quite surreal, especially the fact that it’s a Disney Channel original song. I used to watch Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato’s songs, so it’s actually unreal that now I have my own.”
We know that you have that natural passion for acting, singing and dancing. Was it an easy process for you to dive into the music scene and get in the recording studio for IFYK, considering that this is your first major music project?
“It was easy when I first started recording but as I started to get more and more into it, it got a bit more surreal and hectic for me. But now I’m really enjoying it.”
Do you look forward to more recording sessions in the future as an artist?
“I really do! My recording sessions were so much fun! I had a really great singing coach, so she was with me helping me with the process.”
Considering you have so many talents as a young teen, which one do you prefer doing the most and will likely pursue a solid career in the future?
“I like all three and I wouldn’t wanna limit myself. I’d say I’d like to be a successful singer but I wanna be in a few films, and I’d like to keep up my dancing.”
Do you have any plans to release a music video for “If You Only Knew”, as the fans love it so much?
“I don’t wanna give away too much but all I can say is, ‘watch this space!'”
Any upcoming/future projects that the fans should look forward to?
“Yes, Disney The Lodge is coming out in September – it’s a new TV series I’m part of – and also 4 O’Clock Club which we are currently filming series six for.”
