Kingdom is a KPOP group that consists of 7 members. The difference between the average KPOP group and Kingdom is that the group tells the story of the Kingdom which existed through the seven myths through their music. In addition to this they are the only males to debut in Korea in 2021 that made it entered into the billboard. The members are Dann, Arthur, Mujin, Louis, Ivan, Jahan and Chiwoo. We got to interview them and find out about them and the message behind their music.
Explain a bit about the story you want to show through your music?
We have a solid fictional universe, about the seven kings and seven kingdoms. We want to show the story of these seven kings- how they matured as “authentic rulers”- through our music and performance.
How do you feel you have grown since your debut?
We still got a long way to go, but we do think we have grown a lot, regarding our talent, attitude and teamwork. When we practice, we care for each other now, rather than to focus on individual selves. We are much more serious than before, hence more professional and energetic.
What are you most looking forward to about releasing your 3rd mini album?
We are looking forward to your recognition and interest. Every album release serves as an opportunity to introduce KINGDOM to you, and we are grateful for that.
What can you tell us about your 3rd mini album?
To all the Kingmakers, who always wait for our comeback! We would first like to say, thank you so much. We want you to take a lot of positive energy from us and our new album. We promise not to let you down!
If you could collaborate with any artist on a song, who would you choose and why?
It is too hard to pick one, since there are so many artists we look up to. We would like to collaborate with talented artists at every opportunity!
What is your favourite thing about making music that tells a story?
We are able to stand out with our own color, thanks to our music that tells a fictional story. Only KINGDOM is able to create this music. Plus, we love that every one of us can be the “protagonist” of each album. We can show our individual charm and colors.
What countries would you love to visit at some point?
We would love to visit all countries to meet global Kingmakers. Since we haven’t had the chance to meet our fans in person, we really want to face them and communicate with them through live performances.
Finally, what message would you like to say to your fans?
We put lots of effort into this album. We sincerely thank all Kingmakers who have waited for us. We promise to try our best to deliver positive energy to you.
