After just finishing up a 16 date sold out tour through Europe, the queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race WERQ The World Tour have announced they will be taking the tour to the USA this fall. The tour, hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage will start the tour on October 12th in San Diego and end October 29th in Chicago. The shows deliver some unforgettable performances by some of the shows fan-favorite queens including Alyssa Edwards, Detox, Kim-Chi, Shangela, Latrice Royale and Violet Chachki. Joining them are season nine favorites Peppermint, Sasha Velour and Valentina.
Michelle Visage joined the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race on its third season and has won the hearts of the viewers and queens with her straight to the point critiques, her passion and her love for the LGBTQ+ community.
We were able to chat with Michelle about the WERQ The World, the upcoming tour dates, her favorite memory on Drag Race.
Hello Michelle! Thank you so much for taking time out to chat with us today.
The good thing about the North American leg is that we worked out any kinks so they will get a more realized flowing show (In my mind, anyway!)
As always, ridiculous. We are literal pop stars over there. It’s a feeling that you can’t quite describe and I am grateful for it all while it lasts! I take none of this for granted.
A fun night of their favorite queens being idiots and performing magical drag numbers right in front of their very eyes.
A bit like being Miss Hanigan from ANNIE…..
I love them all but anyone who knows me knows I am going to say the U.K……
This is why I was put on this planet. I was given a booming voice to speak up for those who cannot or for those who need a little more amplification. I have been walking hand in hand with the LGBTQIA community for 30 years and I will continue to do so every day that I am roaming this earth. They are my blood that runs through my veins. We are one.
Of course! Day 1 of season 3. The first day I plopped my a** in my rightful seat next to Ru.
Thank YOU
