Miami based artist Nitti Gritti only launched his music career last year but his already one of the hottest talents on the scene. Having produced for mega stars such as Ty Dolla $ign he is now gearing up for the release of his new EP ‘C’est La Vie’ which will dropping on December 11th.
Here we speak exclusively to Nitti Gritti about his musical inspirations, dream collaborations, new music, and much, much more;
Growing up who inspired your love of music?
I listened to a lot of rock, and metal growing up, and then got into Rap, and Electronic music after that. bands like Taking back Sunday, Slipknot, death cab for cutie, Eminem, Jay Z, and then eventually to Skrillex, Diplo, and all the dos I look up to.
Which artists are you currently listening to?
I’ve recently been listening to a lot of Frank Sinatra for the holidays haha. Bon Iver, Anderson Pak, Travis Scott, Kanye, Still listening to Brand New, Coldplay, Phoenix .
If you could collaborate with anyone who would you choose?
I want to work with Chris Martin from Coldplay Someday. I have a lot of dream collaborations but he is honestly one of my favorite song writers of all time.
Your new EP ‘C’est La Vie infuses rap and electro music, have you always been such a diverse artist?
I’ve always listened to more than one genre, so I like to release every style of music I can under Nitti Gritti within the confines of EDM, Pop, Hip-Hop, and even rock some times.
What inspired the record?
I mainly found inspiration from the dark trap vibe of Travis Scott, Post Malone, and also from Flume, Remedy, Quix, and my OG Nitti Gritti Trap records. so I wanted to fuse all of those into my own song writing and production.
What can fans expect from the tracks on the EP?
I tried to start with a record that has no EDM “Drops” to show people I can make music without any form of EDM in it (Blame On Me). Then in the last three songs I explored different drop and lyric ideas by adding in the classic “build & Drop” that EDM always has.

Do you have any plans to release a full length album soon?
I have no idea what an Album for Nitti Gritti would sound like yet. that’s why I have 3 E.P. s that all sound so different. to start to show people I can make more than one style of music.
Do you have any touring plans lined up?
I’m right in the middle of a tour with dates in Florida, California, Phoenix, Houston, and even China and Australia. So I’m thoroughly excited!
What do you hope to achieve over the course of your career?
My main goal is to become producer of the year. I’ve always wanted to win that Grammy. As far as DJing I just want to tour the world and sell out as many shows for as long as I can.
