Brisbane producer Odd Mob is beginning the excitement for his upcoming album after releasing his latest single “All Of Your Heart.” After producing and remixing for some of the most popular names in the music industry, such as Lorde, it is no shock that Odd Mob is supported by stars such as Martin Garrix and David Guetta. In an interview with CelebMix, the successful producer opened up about the new single, support and more.
What can you tell us about the new single “All Of Your Heart” and its message?
All Of Your Heart is my poppiest tune in a long while. Sometimes you have to really give your relationship your all. Break down those barriers and just love someone truly with everything you have.
How does this track foreshadow the album and its overall theme?
This track definitely highlights some of the spacey vibes coming from the album. I wanted to create a body of work that gives you a larger than life feeling. Also, I wanted people to listen to it and picture the good things in the world.
What can fans expect from the new music coming in the next year or so? Is there anything that makes it different than what you have released in the past?
People can expect a bunch of heavy, club thumpers through oddities as well as the album stuff which is a lot more melodic. It’s the most unique stuff I’ve ever made and definitely the most iconic!
If you could remix any song and work with its original producer/writer to do so, who would you choose and why?
I would love to work with Flume and definitely putting together a remix of “Hyperreal” would be super interesting. He is the master of pushing boundaries while keeping songs palatable for a wide audience.
You have a lot of support from artists and fans! What is it like to be supported by so many people and famous stars such as David Guetta and Martin Garrix?
It’s pretty surreal to go from idolizing big names to being recognized by them!
Who or what has inspired your music recently?
I basically had the realization that I was capable of really pushing myself creatively [and] that my true potential doesn’t come from my surroundings or having the best gear or the best connections.
What is your main goal for the next year?
[To] show people my new sound, make some new friends [and] be happy.
