Alex N, is a 16 year old YouTube vlogger, who is currently working on the promo team for UK girl group Office Girls.
I caught up with the young rising star, to chat about his inspiration’s behind his YouTube channel, what it’s like working with Office Girls, and what he hopes to achieve in the future.
Growing up did you always know you wanted to be in the entertainment industry?
I always knew I wanted to do something in social media or the media industry. I started to get serious about it when I got to secondary school, I started to really think about career choices and what I want to do in the future. However, I really am starting to want to progress with YouTube and hopefully do it as a career. I enjoy it so much and I have a huge passion for it. I really hope it works out!
What made you decide to start a You Tube channel?
I wanted to find an easy way to communicate my thoughts and opinions of things easily, so I thought if I made a YouTube channel I could just video some thoughts and upload it. Also, my twitter became quite popular and I was getting quite a lot of suggestions saying “you should start YouTube” So I listened to the demands and decided to create one! I really enjoy it!
Who are your YouTube influences?
I have a lot of YouTube influences. My favourite YouTube influence though has to be Alfie AKA PointlessBlog. His editing , filming and quality in general is just amazing! He’s also worked his way up from a small YouTuber to being huge! It just shows hard work leads to success and progression, so it really has inspired me.
Who is your favourite YouTuber?
My favourite YouTuber is also my favourite YouTube influence. My favourite YouTuber is defiantly PointlessBlog. I enjoy some of the independent YouTubers too, who do little pranks, challenges and stories! I enjoy a variety of YouTubers from really big YouTubers to the up and coming ones!
What do you enjoy most about running your own channel?
I enjoy that I can post what I want, say what I want and do what I want, with it without someone telling me what I can say, what I should say and what I can’t say. I just like to have fun with it. Go with the flow! I don’t really plan what I will upload next I just really get an idea randomly and film it on the last minute of that day. I am so last minute.com
You also work with the girl band Office Girls how are you juggling everything?
I’m on their promo team. I help get promo opportunities and just try help them with any general issues they have etc. They’re amazing girls so lovely, so talented so I feel if I can help someone in life it makes me happy! I guess juggling everything, I sort of have a schedule where some days I do promo for the girls , some days I do promo for me and some days I film for me. It’s not too difficult! I really enjoy it!
What is your favourite inspirational quote?
Ooooh. I have a lot of favourite quotes. Seriously, I am always tweeting a different quote’s. If I had to choose… Hmmm… Maybe “Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living”, and “Your belief will help create the fact”.
Do you have any Celeb crushes?
My two major celeb crushes are – Little Mix And Ariana Grande. I have a crush on their amazing voices!! They’re so talented and entertaining too! They’re amazing!
What would you like to achieve in the next ten years?
Oooh! A lot of things. I would love for my YouTube channel to be successful, so I can entertain people as well as hopefully inspire people through my videos and tweets. That would be amazing and definitely a dream come true! I also want to write a book! Dunno why… But I do!!
