One of Netflix’s hottest originals right now is Greenhouse Academy in which Dallas Hart plays Leo Cruz, a member of The Ravens. Whilst being a talented actor, he’s also a musical maestro having sung the opening track for the series giving us plenty to talk about in our exclusive interview with him.
You’re currently in Netflix original Greenhouse Academy, can you tell us more about your character Leo?
Leo is the leader of the Ravens, one of the two teams in Greenhouse Academy, and he’s a very talented musician.
Would you say you’re anything like your character Leo?
My character Leo and I actually have a lot of similarities. He is a musician, and I have a very big passion for creating music as well. I really connected with the character from the first audition.
When you were at school were you more of a Ravens or Eagles member?
I was definitely a raven when I was in school. Ravens for life!
Season 2 of Greenhouse Academy has already been filmed, can you give any hints of what fans can expect during it?
Things start escalating very quickly. There’s a lot more drama, and the stakes are much higher. It’s going to be very intense.
You sing the title track of the show but do you prefer singing or acting?
I would say I prefer acting, although, with music, I get to express my own personality in my songs.
How would you describe your musical style?
Alternative rock/pop.
Who were your influences in both music and acting when growing up?
Johnny Depp and Jon Bellion were both big influences in my acting and musical career.
Your Instagram is giving us travel envy, but where would you love to visit which you’re yet to?
I really want to visit New Zealand and see Hobbiton! I’m a huge Lord of the Rings fan.
What are your goals for the next 12 months?
My goal is to just continue creating and inspiring others to create as well. I hope to have music and new projects to work on in the next year. I have a couple features I filmed this year that are coming out next year.
