EBEN is an exciting rising talent from America, he has recently dropped his latest music video ‘LAMBO’. The track reached number 10 on the US viral charts and EBEN is currently opening up for Why Don’t We on their Invitation tour.
The singer has also recently released his debut mixtape ‘Finally’ which entered Apple Music’s Pop Chart at number 7. The mixtape talks about his Fiat getting broken into then caught on fire to being in previous bands that didn’t go anywhere. So now, he’s FINALLY releasing his own music.
Here we speak exclusively to EBEN about his new single, future releases, musical inspirations and much, much more;
Growing up who inspired your love of music?
Growing up I was inspired by Hall & Oates and Elton John. My mom always had them playing around the house.
When did you realise you wanted to pursue music as a career?
I don’t think that I had a specific moment where I realised I wanted to do music as a career. It’s always been apart of my thought process when I would picture my future. I could never see myself doing anything else.
How would you describe your sound to new listeners?
I would definitely describe it as like a unique blend of pop, R&B and electronic music. Whenever I make anything I always ask myself, “Could I cruise on the PCH to this?” My goal is to have every persons head bobbin in the room.
What is the inspiration behind your new single ‘LAMBO’?
LAMBO’s inspiration came from going through the daily struggle of trying to stay afloat financially as an artist. It’s never easy being on the come up and the struggle is real! But I’m the type of person just to laugh it off and poke fun at myself, and that’s what LAMBO represents.
What do you hope fans take from your music?
When people listen to my music, I want them to hear my story. I want them to know me through my music and feel the passion I put into everything I do.
Can we expect an album from you soon?
I’m always making music and creating so I have a lot in the mix to be dropping in the future!
You’re currently on tour with Why Don’t We how much fun is that?
Touring with the boys is an absolute blast. I’m having the time of my life with them on the road. Every time I watch their show, I’m just as blown away and excited as the night before. I love it.
Do you plan on collaborating with Why Don’t We anytime soon?
The idea has for sure crossed my mind. We will just have to see what happens!
What are your 2018 goals?
My 2018 goals are to release a lot more music, tour as much as I possibly can, and be able to know that I didn’t take any of it for granted.
