16 Year old Michael King is 1/3 of the unsigned British group Fourth Divide.

Here the band member talks exclusivity to Celeb mix, about his musical influences, how the three band members met, and also about his goals for the future.

How did you and the other members form the band?

I found Tovia’s YouTube channel and asked her if she’d be interested in forming a band then after a while Tovia found Jack the same way and after meeting in London on February 19th for the first time we just clicked and that’s where we’ve gone from then

What was the reason behind naming the band Fourth Divide?

Actually a fan chose the name but we kind of have our own thoughts about 3/4 is for each of us and the ‘fourth divide’ is the people who support us

Describe your sound in three words

    Fun, pop and different

Would you ever consider auditing for The X Factor?

Maybe at some stage in our career but maybe not right now, we still have a lot to learn and grow before we go on a platform that big

    Who are your musical influences?

Personally The Saturdays, Little Mix, Ariana Grande and Ella Henderson but as a group more like Only The Young or people like that.

Who is your favourite artist/band at the moment?

I quite like George Ezra and Fifth Harmony

If you could collaborate with anyone who would you choose?

    Ariana Grande

Do you have any celebrity crushes?

    Mollie King / Ariana Grande

What would you name your debut album?

I have no idea, probably after one of the tracks on the album i would assume, or self title it, I guess we’ll see how we feel when that point comes

Would you rather have a number one single or win a BRIT award?

BRIT award (I mean I’d love both aha)

What venue would be your dream to perform?

O2 Arena or Madison Square Garden

What do you think about free music streaming? Do you think it damages the music industry?

I think it makes it more difficult for new artists to start making their money and grow but for established artists it makes their music more widely reach able so it has it’s pros and cons
If you could change one thing about the music industry what would you change?
The way it’s so difficult to be recognised away from TV Talent shows a lot of the time
What would you like to have achieved in ten years time?
To have released our own music, hopefully in dream world signed to a big music label, touring and maybe a few awards / a big selling single.
