Olivia Lunny, a rising star with millions of streams already under her belt, has recently released her latest single “Think of Me.” The new and catchy post-breakup anthem is simply infectious and shows off Lunny’s powerful vocal ability as well as her unique sound. With thousands of supporters following her across social media platforms, she has effortlessly established a dedicated fanbase at the start of her career. In an exclusive interview with CelebMix, Lunny opens up about her new single, dream collaborations and more.
For those who don’t already know, how did you first get started with music?
Music has always been such a huge part of my life. Growing up, my parents played music and live concert DVD’s in the house 24/7, so I think it’s safe to say music is truly ingrained in me. When I was around 10 years old, my dad taught me some very basic chords on guitar. From there, I went on to write my first song at the age of 12. As I grew older and gained life experiences, I found myself picking up the guitar more often and writing would help me navigate whatever I was going through.
What can you tell us about your new single ‘Think Of Me’ and the inspiration behind it?
I have experienced heartbreak, this song was inspired by the common themes and cliches that tend to come true when going through a breakup! “Think of Me” is a post break-up anthem with a nostalgic twist. Love is a universal feeling and music is the connecting factor. I hope people can resonate with this song as i’m sure we’ve all experienced similar feelings navigating relationships!
How is this particular track different from other songs you have recorded or released in the past?
I collaborated with some new people on this track (Tyler Shaw & AJ Healey) and I think listeners will be refreshed by this new sound and direction! Co-writing always offers up a new flavor, so I’m very excited for people to hear this tune!
Can fans expect to see a music video or some sort of visuals for it?
Currently in the process of brainstorming concepts for a unique take on a video… stay tuned!
If you could collaborate with any artist in the industry right now, who would it be and why?
I’ve been loving Harry Styles new album! Writing with him would be incredible.
What can fans look forward to in the near or distant future?
Lots of new music! This is really the beginning of an era or me as an up and coming artist! I’ve been writing more than ever before and I can’t wait to keep sharing my songs and my story.
