Rising star Anthony Starble is a queer musician and LGBT advocate who is ready to take the world by storm. He has recently teamed up with The Klassiks to create an energetic, and brilliant remix of his newest single, “Paperweight.” The new version brings an EDM sound to the original track, and The Klassiks add a catchy synth line and bass drops that kicks up the intensity from the original. The added elements paired with the meaningful lyrics really bring about an aura of sentimentality to the listener.
Speaking about the new remix, Anthony Starble says: “With this remix, I really wanted to play into the emotional quality of the song and highlight in a different way than the original record with piano and strings. In this remix we sparse electric guitars underneath the vocals on the verse, holding up the heavy words and adding a bit of nostalgia without being too invasive.”
Speaking further about the track, the rising star, states: “I’m thrilled to release Paperweight, a song that pushes deeper than the thrills of youth and calls out to the young romantics who long for meaningful connections in a world that can leave us feeling alone and weightless”.
The new version will be featured on Starble’s upcoming remix EP which drops this Friday (August 10th).
