Chelsea Gill is an exciting new Country artist coming out of Nashville. She broke onto the scene in a major way earlier this year with her infectious country-pop single ‘Ray-Bans’ and this Friday (October 26th) she will share her latest release ‘Taken’ with the world.
‘Ray-Bans’ was the first single to be released off her sophomore project and the Michigan native released her debut self-titled EP back in 2016. Before becoming a singer-songwriter, Gill worked in concert lighting design and shined the spotlight on acts such as Sara Evans, Lee Ann Womack, and Cole Swindell.
Now, with the release of ‘Taken’, Chelsea is looking to build on the success of breakout single ‘Ray-Bans’ and really push on and make a name for herself as the next big thing. Speaking about her latest release, Chelsea Gill says: “Taken is a raw snapshot of where I was emotionally a year ago when I wrote the song. I was in a relationship, but I knew it wasn’t going anywhere, and the thought of being single again was exhausting. It felt like I was never going to find my person, that person that gets you, knows you fully, and loves you completely. I knew this song idea meant a lot to me, so I was very careful who I chose to co-write it with. My great friends Mike Meadows and Matt Billingslea were the perfect writers to help finish the idea and I’m so excited about how it turned out. I hope it resonates with lonely hearts and I just want to say don’t give up hope! There is someone out there who knows how much you are worth, so don’t settle, love will find you.”
