Fond Of Rudy are a four-piece Indie-Pop band, with members based across London and Brighton. Their musical output is developed from a heartfelt core, washed with stylistic references from 80s pop music icons then revived to a state of modernity through contemporary production. Their tracks also attempt to encapsulate a feeling, an emotion, or a state of mind rather than simply a mindful melody.
The past twelve months has been monumental for Fond Of Rudy, having garnered support from national radio including rotational plays on BBC Introducing London, and Amazing Radio. It looks like their success so far has been partly down to having the right music at the right time.
Their previous releases ‘To Be Mine’ and ‘Say Something’ have secured scope with Clash Music, and they have also been picking up European and international coverage.
And now the Indie band are back with their brand new single ‘Imagination’ which is an upbeat indie-pop track that details a story of unrequited love. The song also prevails with the bands’ modernised 80s style and with summer just around the corner, the new single is sure to become a favourite on playlists all over the world.
Speaking about the new release, Fond Of Rudy say: “The song represents the feeling of trying to show someone that as a two, you are compatible, you work well together – but you fear they might be playing games”.
