Olivia Thai is an exciting artist who is well and truly on the rise. Born in San Gabriel, California, Olivia has always been a little bit different in the best way possible. She has a sophisticated view of the world and studies nine different languages, while being able to speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Diojiu fluently.
She started college when she was aged just thirteen and went viral on social media because of a cover video she posted on YouTube as an inside joke that accumulated over 21 million views. After she won Taiwanese Idol in 2007, Olivia’s career is continuing to expand and has received copious amounts of praise and accolades from fans and press critics alike.?
Olivia Thai is able to captivate her listeners by being a multi-instrumentalist with the ability to beatbox, play the violin, guitar, and piano while singing all at the same time. She records each instrument on stage with a looping machine. After creating her composition live, she then adds her dynamic and soulful vocals to complete her tracks.
And now she is back with her brand new single ‘Down To Earth Cool Chick’. Speaking about the single, Thai says: “I have a mission to bring a different perspective to pop culture through music. ‘Down to Earth Cool Chick’ is about being comfortable in my own skin and realizing that I don’t have to be like anyone else just to fit in.”
