Raign is an exciting London-born, LA Based artist whose real name is Rachel Rabin. She is currently leading the way in a new era of Pop romanticism as she bends boundries to create darkly-dreamy music that near-sublime in its transformative power, while her lavishly textured take on alt-pop centres on her soaring vocals.
Tomorrow (Friday, August 31st) Raign releases her brand new single ‘Who Are You’. The track was written in Los Angeles and was produced by fellow Brit Robbie Lamond. This is a more pop infused uptempo reverie featuring a catchy sing-along hook, signature epic drums, and a 12 piece string ensemble recorded live in Hollywood.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, Raign says: “Who Are You is a very special song to me. When we sat and wrote it at the piano that day, it just spewed out in one go. It was inspired by a strong feeling of being loved from afar, but wanting that love to be close, someone real, someone I could see and touch. On retrospect I realise that the song was also telling me that the person I was ready to travel the Universe to find, was really just myself.”
