Washington D.C. based soul/funk project Rhymes Band featuring Summer Dennis have just released their single, “The Party,” and CelebMix has the exclusive.
“The Party” has been released ahead of their album, out this fall.
Rhymes is an all-male band fronted by a powerful woman. Band members include vocalist Kam Jones, co-writer Bill Moore, and percussionist Paul DeCastro. Summer Dennis is a classically trained musician and vocalist with an extensive vocal range.
The beat of “The Party” makes you want to dance. With Jones’ vocals, the song sounds like it could be featured in a movie. It should be a massive hit and is a great song for the summertime.
About the song, the musicians said, “The Party is a celebration of life, with life described as a party. It points to the joy of each of us being unique and life’s opportunities for happiness as we grow and move through our life and times. The song music combines R&B, Latin and jazz influences to create an inclusive rhythmic vibe making you appreciate the dance and party that is our lives.”
