Hailing from New York City, singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Skyler Cocco will release the video for upcoming single “Going Back” via all streaming platforms on Friday, August 23. “Going Back” is entirely produced and mixed by Skyler Cocco and is an indie-pop love affair filled with sticky-sweet hooks, melodic guitar and a dream-like soundscape in a seaside setting.
Watch the video below:
Going Back” is the first single to be released after Cocco’s debut album Reverie in 2017, which was a blend of cathartic, grunge-inspired sounds with slight pop tendencies. The upcoming video continues Skyler’s pop shift with colorful SoCal-like aesthetics; and is described as a love connection between her and California, personifying the state as her lover, waiting for the moment when she is able to return.

Skyler Cocco started producing music at the tender age of 11. She started her career in her late father’s DIY home studio, working from his 8-track audio workstation and eventually upgraded at 16-years-old to Mixcraft, and then eventually Logic where she produces most of her music to date.
In 2016, Skyler graduated from SUNY Purchase’s prestigious studio composition college program; studying alongside artists such as Mitski, and writing with Jackson Foote and Emma Block of the pop duo Loote. Since then, Skyler has produced music with over 50 artists and collaborated with Elektrisk Gønner for song “Money” in 2017 which was featured on Apple Music’s “Best of the Week,” and even spun on Norway’s top radio station, NRK P3.
Skyler is currently focusing on her new sound portrayed through her single “Going Back.” She has been well-received by the likes of major music publications and media names. We’re definitely impressed by the beauty of the voice of Skyler Cocco and stunning productions skills. Can’t wait to see what she serves us next on our musical palette.
