“Waste” is the latest single from cinematic-pop artist Yify. The song was written by Yify, produced, engineered and mixed by Julie Kathryn, and mastered by Jeff Liptin. On the track, her impressive vocals glide over an ambient electronic harmony which is sure to send chills down listeners’ spines. It flows between epic swells and quiet lulls and is perfect to listen to if you want to relax.

Born in Beijing, Yify took an interest in music from an early age, learning violin when she was five years old and going on to pursue a degree in violin performance from UNC.
Yify began her transition into the music industry in 2015, and now based in New York is beginning to reap the rewards of all her hard work. Her debut single “Morning Sun” saw her receive recognition after it was selected as a semi-finalist in the 2017 International Songwriting Competition.
Yify’s music has been described as “Lush, heartfelt, and sits somewhere between pop sensation SIA, to singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, to instrumental composer Max Richter”.
