2015 was a very busy year for Illinois rock band Fall Out Boy; new album, new tour, and many awards.  As we get ready to say farewell to this year, let’s take a quick look at how it was for these boys – shall we?

After the success of their past singles Centuries and American Beauty/American Psycho, it was early 2015 when Fall Out Boy released a new single: Uma Thurman. This song debuted #1 in the US, preparing the world for the release of the new album. American Beauty/American Psycho, the band’s sixth studio album was released on January 16, reaching #1 in Billboard lists.

February treated them nicely as well; they released Irresistible as their fourth official single with its respective music video, and performed for the first time at Soundwave Festival.

In April as their song with Steve Aoki Back To Earth was being released, they performed at Global Citizen Earth Day!  April also brought the music video for Uma Thurman, which was a long awaited video for the fans.

On the 18 of April, they also inducted Green Day into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame with an emotional speech that kept people talking for days.

2015 Year End: Fall Out Boy. 1

The American Beauty/American Psycho Tour started May 3rd, visiting Europe, The United States, and Canada – this leg under the name The Boys Of Zummer Tour, co-headlining with Wiz Khalifa and Hoodie Allen.  The tour was an absolute success with 60 dates and thousands of people satisfied of such amazing shows. On top of their tour, Fall Out Boy performed Uma Thurman ft. Whiz Khalifa at the Billboard Music Awards. Fall Out Boy had two nominations but unfortunately didn’t win any.

In September, the guys performed at iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas. The next month they were included on the We love Disney album with the song I Wanna Be Like You from The Jungle Book. A new version of Irresistible featuring Demi Lovato was released, and they announced an upcoming North American tour for 2016.

Fall Out Boy won “Favourite Alternative Band” at the AMA’s which added to their long list of awards through their history.  They attended the Pandora Holiday Party on December 10 for a formidable year closing!  They’re nominated for the People Choice Awards happening soon and we wish them all the luck in the world!

2015 was a reminder that Fall Out Boy has no plans of slowing down soon. Almost three years after their reunion one of the most iconic bands of the 00’s are still rocking, and they rock hard! We hope 2016 brings them even more success and that they keep on making us dance along to their tunes.
