Canadian DJ Felix Cartal has been on a roll these last couple of weeks. Not only did he receive his first Gold certification for his hit song “Get What You Give” but he has also been busy in the studio creating some more magical things for all of his fans. The products of his efforts have been released one by one this year, bringing us such joys as the tracks “Runaway” and “Walking By“, now leading to the climax that we have all been waiting for.

But let us not get too ahead of ourselves and let us start chronologically. Since Friday two things have happened: first, he debuted his latest track “Faces” featuring singer-songwriter Veronica. The record is another laid back track, much in the vein of his previous releases. According to the artist, the song is about two things: “Faces is about (…)remembering that we’re all human and that trying to connect with someone on a (…)personal level is important”, Cartal mentioned when dropping his track, adding that “there’s nothing more important than the people we surround ourselves with”. This message is beautifully conveyed through Veronica’s vocals and Cartal’s production.

Listen to the track right here:

Second, Felix Cartal took to Instagram in order to announce the release date of his second album. He titled his beauty “Next Season” and revealed that it will be out on May 4th. The DJ also shared a personal message with his fans about why it took him so long to finally announce it. In the caption, he mentioned that -after listening to his debut album- he absolutely hated it and simply wanted to create something that really felt like him. As far as we can tell so far, “Next Season” will definitely be something that is 150 percent Felix and we are excited about the finished product.
