Some of you may remember the time where most of the 5SOS songs we were listening to were live versions, because they only had one or two EP. We would beg them everyday to give us a studio version. Actually, we are still begging them to give us studio versions of a few songs we still don’t have, like Over and Over and Superhero.
As the Sounds Live Feels Live Tour is getting started in just a few days, we thought we could be a little bit nostalgic. Here are 5 fetus songs we would love to hear again on this tour.
We know Ashton said Superhero was now too childish for the band, but we do not agree with him. We think this song is pretty cool with a great drum beat. Superhero is a real party song and we LOVE it. You can’t not be wanting to rock out to this song at a 5SOS show. Lyrics such as “He said tonight I’m a superhero/ Watch me fly I’ll never get low/ And I won’t come down again” can be a great message for the fans. Do what’s best for you, be confident and when you’re high in the clouds, be strong, stay there and party hard.
2. Over and Over
This one is probably one of the most deep and emotional 5SOS fetus song. This song has great lyrics when your heart is broken from a love relationship: “You know something I don’t/ It’s not like you to be cold/ Every night replayed over and over/ You say things that I don’t/ You make me feel alone/ Every night replayed over and over”. Fans all over the world have been begging 5SOS to release a studio version, yet it seems like they forgot that song. Don’t lose hope, we think one day, 5SOS will surprise us with a studio version of this beautiful song. Until then, we can keep hoping they play it live again.
3. Try Hard
We want this song to be played live again, because oh how we love it. Seriously, we think this song is underrated and we are so sad the band stopped playing it live. Hey 5SOS what about a little throwback by playing it on the Sounds Live Feels Live tour? We are sure the fans will be insanely happy about it. Let’s rock out to this!
4. Heartbreak for Two
Another heartbreak song, yet a bit more aggressive. You can jump around while singing the lyrics and obviously crying. We admit we would cry too if they were playing this one live again. Oh the old memories. And let’s admit it, it’s such an amazing song with those punk guitar riffs. Imagine Luke singing this with his deeper voice. It would be amazing.
5. Gotta Get Out
Just because two slower songs on a tour setlist can never be too much. And because we can’t just have heartbreak songs, we also need some cute love ones. We can already picture it: 5SOS playing the first chords, the fans getting their lights out and the whole arena singing along with them. How beautiful and lovely would it be?
We hope you enjoyed this little throwback to a few 5SOS fetus songs. Are there other songs you wish they would play live again? Tell us by tweeting us @CelebMix, we’d love to hear about it!
