Last night marked the end of an era for five talented actors and actresses in hit musical ‘In The Heights’ in London.
‘In The Heights’ is an award winning musical written by the one and only Lin-Manuel Miranda. Starting on Broadway in 2008, it moved to London last year. Ever since its move it has been very successful and the ending dates have been extended multiple times.
The musical follows the ups and downs of ‘Washington Heights’ as many events happen containing themes of love, heartbreak, family problems and community spirit. It also contains songs such as ‘In The Heights’, ‘Enough’ and ‘Breathe’.
But, the biggest news of the show right now is the loss of some original cast members. These include Dex Lee (Benny), Cleve September (Sonny), Philippa Stefani (Daniela), Emma Kingston (Vanessa) and Josie Benson (Camila and Abuela). All of these people have played their roles to their full potential and have pleased thousands in doing so.
Performance after performance, these guys have danced, sung and acted outstandingly! We would like to thank the leaving cast and current cast for always putting in 100% effort and also the best for the future for those who are leaving – they’ll be truly missed!
