First artists announced for Capital’s Summertime Ball

It’s that time of year again when Capital FM prepare to bring their Summertime Ball event to London’s Wembley Stadium. This year, the mammoth gig will take place on June 10 and earlier this morning, the station confirmed the first seven artists on this year’s line up.

The first to be announced was Canadian pop prince Shawn Mendes, who will be making his Summertime Ball debut this year. Joining him will be Zara Larsson, who will be making a return after a triumphant debut at the Ball last year.

Returning to the Ball for the third time will be trio Clean Bandit. With Zara also on the line up, we can expect an incredible performance of their collaboration ‘Symphony’, as well as their other huge hits. Bringing some grime to proceedings will be Stormzy, who’s debut album Gang Signs & Prayer went to number one earlier this year. Also on the line up are Jax Jones & Raye, who will be bringing the house (well, stadium) down with their huge dance anthem, ‘You Don’t Know Me’.

Charlie Puth will also be performing on June 10. He’s appeared at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball in the past but it’s his first Summertime Ball, so we can expect something quite special. Completing today’s artist announcement are Maroon 5, who will also be making their Ball debut. With over 15 years of hits under their belts, we can’t wait to hear what songs they’ll be singing on the day!

Here we have the first seven huge acts for the #CapitalSTB including Shawn Mendes, Stormzy and Maroon 5! ?We're revealing seven more acts tomorrow from 7:30AM ?
