After much anticipation, Reading & Leeds Festival have confirmed the first wave of acts who will be performing this year.

Taking place across the August bank holiday weekend (August 24-26), this year’s headliners are Fall Out Boy,  Kendrick Lamar, Panic! At The Disco, and Kings of Leon. Other notable performers across the weekend include Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Sigrid, Nothing But Thieves, Waterparks, Skepta, J Hus and Sum 41.

Whilst many have been eagerly awaiting this year’s festival announcement, the reaction this morning was rather mixed. However, more acts will be added in the coming months.

Speaking about this year’s headliners, Festival Republic boss Melvin Benn said: “Reading and Leeds prides itself on being a music-first festival and this year’s line-up already proves that. Kings of Leon and Fall Out Boy are bands that have grown with the festival and its fans and we couldn’t be more pleased to invite them back to headline.

“Adding Panic! at the Disco and Kendrick Lamar, probably the most sought-after act in the world right now, we think Reading and Leeds Festivals 2018 are off to an amazing start – with even more to come, so watch this space.”

Reading & Leeds Festival will take place from 24-26 August at Richfield Avenue in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds. Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased here.
