The BRIT Awards 2019 is just over a month away and to ramp up excitement for one of the most prestigious nights in British music, the first three performers have been revealed.
Girlband extraordinaire Little Mix, ‘Shotgun’ singer George Ezra and BRITs Critics’ Choice 2018 winner Jorja Smith will be taking to the stage at the O2 Arena on February 20.
Little Mix are no strangers to the BRITs, having delivered iconic performances in 2016 and 2017. Following their sensational performance of ‘Think About Us’ on The BRITs Are Coming over the weekend, we were hoping to see Jesy, Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne perform during the main ceremony again and we’re delighted that they’re getting the chance to slay the stage once more.
The girls have had a great year full of touring and the release of their exceptional album LM5. They will be hoping to take home a BRIT or two as they’re nominated for British Group and British Artist Video.
George Ezra will be returning to the BRITs after last performing back in 2015. Following a stellar year, which saw him claim his first U.K. number one single with ‘Shotgun’ in addition to his second number one album with Staying At Tamara’s, it’s looking likely that he’ll be taking home some awards. He is nominated for British Male Solo Artist, Mastercard British Album of the Year and British Single.
Jorja Smith was named the BRITs Critics’ Choice winner last year, and the past 12 months have been nothing short of phenomenal for her. She had the chance to perform at the ceremony last year alongside Rag’N’Bone Man however, she will be shining in her own right on February 20. Jorja is nominated for British Female Solo Artist, British Breakthrough Act and Mastercard British Album of the Year.
