Last night (August 20) saw the 2018 MTV VMAs take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
Whilst Camila Cabello took home two of the evening’s most coveted awards, Video of The Year for ‘Havana’ ft Young Thug and Artist of The Year, the likes of Cardi B and Childish Gambino also won big. You can check out the full list of winners here.
Prior to the show and throughout the evening, we were also treated to sensational performances from some of the world’s biggest artists. We’ve already put Shawn Mendes’ incredible performance under the spotlight, however, we though we would share with you five more which you definitely need to watch if you haven’t already.
Jennifer Lopez
The Michael Jackson Vanguard Award winner Jennifer Lopez proved why she was this year’s worthy recipient, with a stunning medley of some her greatest hits. Joined by an army of dancers, J-Lo sang and danced her way through a number of iconic bops including ‘Waiting For Tonight’, ‘On The Floor’, ‘Love Don’t Cost A Thing’ and more. She was even joined by DJ Khaled for her latest single ‘Dinero’.

Logic and Ryan Tedder
Logic and Ryan Tedder delivered a poignant performance of their new collaboration ‘One Day’. Joined by a stage full of children wearing ‘We Are All Human Beings’ t-shirts, the kids are later joined by their parents which sends a powerful and emotional message.

Nicki Minaj
Rap queen Nicki Minaj dazzled on stage with a performance of ‘Majesty’ and ‘Barbie Dreams’ from her latest album Queen. Delivering one of her most standout performances yet, Nicki looked sensational in a gold ensemble.

Backstreet Boys
Before the VMAs began, the Backstreet Boys took to the roof of the Radio City Music Hall to perform their latest single ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’. The fans outside were loving life as Kevin, Nick, AJ, Howie, and Brian showcased their slick dance moves.

Ariana Grande
Delivering one of the most striking performances of the evening, Ariana Grande was joined on stage by a diverse cast of women to perform her latest track ‘God is a Woman’. Armed with incredible choreography, the performance is one which will stand out for many years to come. At the end of the performance, Ariana was joined on stage by her mum and nonna which made it even more special.
