Last night (November 4) saw the MTV EMAs 2018, hosted by Hailee Steinfeld, take place in Bilbao.
Camila Cabello was the night’s big winner, taking home four awards for Best Artist, Best Video, Best Song and Best US Act. Little Mix took home Best UK and Ireland Act, whilst Dua Lipa scooped the Best Pop Award. You can check out the full list of winners here.
However, alongside the awards themselves, we were also treated to a number of sensational performances from some of our favourite stars. We’ve rounded up five of the must-watch performances from the evening, so make yourself comfy and get ready to enjoy some EMAs highlights.
Bebe Rexha – ‘I’m A Mess’
Having presented the MTV EMAs in Rotterdam back in 2016, Bebe Rexha made a welcome return to the stage this year to perform her hit single ‘I’m A Mess’. Emerging from a bathtub, Bebe was later joined by a troupe of dancers and put on a phenomenal performance featuring striking and visually stunning choreography.

Little Mix and Nicki Minaj – ‘Woman Like Me’
Opening this year’s ceremony in style, Nicki Minaj began with her track ‘Good Form’ before Little Mix took over the stage to perform ‘Woman Like Me’. This was Little Mix and Nicki’s first time performing their empowering collaboration together and we’re still in awe over their fierce delivery. Sadly, this epic performance has yet to be uploaded onto MTV’s YouTube channel, however, you can watch a short clip below and check out the full performance for yourself here.

Jason Derulo, David Guetta and Nicki Minaj – ‘Goodbye’
Jason Derulo singing opera is our new favourite thing and we’re sure it’s about to be yours too. We love this opening to his hit single ‘Goodbye’ – not only does he sound amazing, but the orchestra complements the performance perfectly. When the beat kicks in, he is joined by David Guetta and Nicki Minaj who add their own spice to the show.

Marshmello, Anne-Marie and Bastille – ‘FRIENDS’ / ‘Happier’
Marshmello was joined by Anne-Marie and Bastille for a medley of two of his biggest hits to date. Kicking things off with ‘FRIENDS’, Anne-Marie performed a stripped back version accompanied by Marshmello on piano before the DJ made his way to the main stage for ‘Happier’ with Bastille. The crowd were even showered in Marshmello decorated balloons during the performance!
Jack & Jack – ‘Nothing Compares To You’ / ‘Rise’
Duo Jack & Jack took to the EMAs stage for a stunning performance of ‘No One Compares To You’ before launching into their huge Jonas Blue collaboration, ‘Rise’. The latter saw them quite literally rise up, flying above the crowd and performing stunts in the air before being lowered back on stage into their very own room. Jack & Jack were later lifted back in the air before finishing their performance with a fantastic crowd surf.
