2015 X Factor runner-up and recent I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! Star Fleur East is back with her brilliant tribal pop single ‘Favourite Thing’. The new track is the first taste of new music from the singer in three years and comes on the back of a difficult 2018 which saw her leaving Simon Cowell’s record label Syco.
East didn’t think she’d be able to bounce back from that major setback but luckily she is as resilient as she is talented and was quickly snapped up by indie label Hunter Corps Records who recognise the immense talent Fleur has to offer the world.
And the first single released by Fleur East via Hunter Corps is the standout ‘Favourite Thing’. This is a really great sound for East as it fits her vibe perfectly. With lyrics about a guy whose “kisses are better than caviar” and who “feels so damn good” on her body, while the insanely catchy chorus is an Afrobeat-inspired na-na-na chantalong with the devastating hook: “Every time you touch my body”.
This mega vibe builds towards a hugely impressive finale complete with stomping horn section that fans of the X Factor star’s previous hit ‘Sax’ will love.
Along with dropping the new single, East has also shared the official music video which shines a light on her awe-inspiring dance skills and showcases her overall pop appeal.
