Speculation has been rife about a new full length record from Florence + The Machine since April when they released ‘A Sky Full Of Song’ as part of RSD 2018.
On Thursday evening (March 3), frontwoman Florence Welch appeared on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show to debut the group’s new single ‘Hunger’ as well as reveal details about their upcoming album ‘High As Hope’
Describing the track in a statement, Florence said: “This song is about the ways we look for love in things that are perhaps not love, and how attempts to feel less alone can sometimes isolate us more”.
Powerful and euphoric, both sonic and visually, ‘Hunger’ as the lead single of their fourth studio album leads to high expectations.
High As Hope is released on June 29 and was produced by Florence, and collaborator Emile Haynie. You can visit their website to see the album cover, tracklisting and to preorder a copy.
If you weren’t lucky enough to get a ticket for one of the group’s upcoming dates, you may be pleased to know they’ll be performing at festivals this summer such as Orange Warsaw, Melt! and Bilbao BBK Live.
