Dave Grohl has been hailed the most hardcore rocker, after fracturing his leg onstage in Sweden, only to return fifteen minutes later to finish the set.

Unfortunately, the injury has now rendered the band’s lead singer and guitarist unable to perform their Wembley Stadium concert or the small matter that is Glastonbury festival.

A statement was issued on the band’s website: “Due to injuries sustained in Dave Grohl’s fall from the stage during Foo Fighters’ June 12 show at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, doctors have required the cancellation of the remainder of the band’s dates in the UK and Europe.

The annual spectacle, that takes place at Worthy Farm, is undoubtably the UK’s biggest and best festival and is infamous for booking a whole array of talented artists from the weird to the wonderful.

The internet is array with speculations as to who could possibly take the spot of the Foo Fighters, proposed acts include: Florence And The Machine, David Bowie, Prince, Daft Punk, AC/DC and Coldplay. But Brit-pop long-standing sensation, Blur, look set to be the people’s pick; myself included!
